History
In 1999, Independent Christian Churches on the east coast invited Senior Pastor, Brian Jones to start Christ's Church of the Valley. Brian and his wife, Lisa, decided on the greater Philadelphia area and more specifically the 422 corridor. They chose the 422 corridor knowing over 500,000 people lived in the area with only 80,000 of them regularly attending church.
The first church service was held in October 2000 at the Regal 24 Cinema in Oaks, and 253 people attended that first Sunday! In 2006, the congregation moved into its first building on the church's property in Royersford, Pennsylvania. Today, over nine years later, on Sunday mornings the first building is dedicated to children and adult services are held in a second building opened in 2009.
